Homemade Protein Hummus
After losing 40 lbs and successfully maintaining over the last 10 years, I have been able to hone in on what my emotional triggers are.
I had been an emotional eater for years, but it didn't really hit me until my first "real" job out of college. I was working in an office enviornment and my job was pretty easy. The day to day was easy to get done in the 8 hour period of time I had. It wasn't until my boss assigned me my first project that had an accompanying deadline that it hit me!
I had been working on that project for a couple weeks and I was doing some final touches but the final touches were coming at the last minute. I literally had about 15 minutes until I needed to submit this project to my boss. So you would think I was hunkered down typing away as fast as I could .... NOPE ... I was walking around the office looking for snacks ... more specifically ... chocolate covered pastries.
It HIT me like a TON OF BRICKS! Malea .... What are you doing???? You have 15 minutes to get this done and you are walking around looking for food and you aren't even hungry!
That was my main EMOTIONAL EATING TRIGGER - DEADLINES!!! Ugggghhhh!!
