Have you ever looked at the granola aisle and thought to yourself, “HOLY GRANOLA!?” I sure have … there are sooooo many options. Who could seriously ever take the time to go through all of those and determine which one was the most IIFYM friendly? Well certainly not me … Ain’t nobody got time for dat!
However, what I did do, was buy 3 different kinds from Thrive Market. I heard about Thrive Market through a Jillian Michaels product. It’s supposed to be wholesome foods at better prices than the stores you would normally buy them from. It’s an online market and there is a membership fee. I’ll do more research on Thrive and let you know if I think it’s truly worth it.
In the meantime, below are the 3 Granolas that I bought to compare -
The first one I tried was the Ezekiel 4:9. It’s actually a cereal but it looked like it could be a good granola. It wasn’t great tasting, kind of bland - missing that little bit of sweetness that granola usually has.
Ezekiel 4:9 Sprouted Grain Cereal - Almond: ½ C (57g): Fat: 3g Carbs: 38g Fiber: 6g Protein: 8g
The next one I tried was Purely Elizabeth. I was hangry … so I saw a leftover sweet potato in my fridge warmed it up and topped it with Purely Elizabeth granola. It was yummy!
Purely Elizabeth: Serving: ⅓ C (30g): Fat: 6g Carbs: 18g Fiber: 2g Protein: 3g
The next granola and the winner of these 3 is the KIND Peanut Butter Granola. KIND has 2.5 less grams of fat and 2 more grams of protein for only 1 gram less!
KIND Peanut Butter Granola: ⅓ C (29g): Fat: 3.5 Carbs: 20g Fiber: 2g Protein: 5g
Because there are so many varieties of granola … I would love to hear what your favorite granola is. Also, let me know if there is one you want me to compare. As time goes on, I’ll add on to this list and probably create a comparison chart 🙂
